Wealth Stars — Direct vs Indirect

Wealth stars are not a single 'fortune' label — direct vs indirect carry different meanings, and they differ between male and female charts.

What Wealth Stars Are

A wealth star (财星) is "what the Day Master controls" — within your sphere of mastery. Classical reading: "what is controlled is what is mastered" — so wealth stars symbolize "things you can wield": money, resources, and (in men's charts) a wife.

By yin/yang polarity, two subtypes:

• Direct Wealth (正财): opposite-polarity from Day Master. e.g. 甲 (Yang Wood) sees 己 (Yin Earth)
• Indirect Wealth (偏财): same-polarity. e.g. 甲 sees 戊 (Yang Earth)

Personality Difference

Same family, different temperaments:

Direct Wealth: earned-by-effort wealth — salary, fixed assets, family savings. Person tends to be frugal, principled, family-oriented. For men, also represents 'primary wife' — stable marriage.

Indirect Wealth: opportunity-flow wealth — business profit, windfalls, speculative gains. Person tends to be generous, opportunistic, well-networked. For men, also represents 'father' and 'romantic affair / second wife'.

Direct values stability; indirect values opportunity. Neither better — different life tilts.

How Men and Women Differ

Men: wealth IS the wife-star. Direct = primary wife; indirect = secondary or romantic affair. Strength and placement of wealth stars indicates marriage quality:

• Wealth clear, rooted, not robbed → harmonious marriage
• Wealth rootless, surrounded by 比劫 → turbulent marriage
• Wealth united with day branch (spouse palace) → deep affection

Women: wealth is NOT the husband-star (官杀 is). Instead it indicates self-financial-capacity and the father. Excessive wealth in a woman's chart can be unfavourable — because "wealth feeds officer", and too much wealth strengthens 官杀 (which can overpower the Day Master).

Wealth, Dayun, and Annual Transits

Financial fortune is not only the natal chart — also whether dayun and yearly transits bring wealth:

• Chart favors wealth + dayun in wealth land → prosperous decade
• Chart unfavors wealth (财多身弱) + more wealth in dayun → loss
• Annual wealth uniting with natal wealth → significant event year

So "financial reading" is not just earning forecasts — it's "wealth-vs-self" relational interpretation.
